Updates
- 279 evacuees are currently registered in Grande Prairie.
- Posters are put on the doors nightly at Bonnetts Energy Centre detailing which hotels evacuees arriving after-hours can go to (changes based on availability). Check-in directly with hotels, do not book through third-party booking sites.
- The Government of Alberta has established a process for evacuees who are temporary foreign workers or have applied online but their valid Alberta ID address is not within an evacuation zone to apply for evacuation payments. - The Government of Alberta is hosting a telephone town hall for Albertans who have been evacuated, to receive updates on the wildfire situation and answers to their questions. If unable to join, a recording will be available after the event. Information:
