Update #29: The Evacuation Order and Alert Remain

Update #29: The Evacuation Order and Alert Remain

Grande Prairie — Friday, June 13, 2025, 10:15 am–  As of yesterday, the County of Grande Prairie downgraded the evacuation order and alert for select areas affected by the ongoing wildfire. This change reflects improved conditions and progress in firefighting efforts.

The fire did not experience any overnight growth. Today’s rainfall is expected to further support containment strategies. Despite the rainfall, we are still in drought conditions and residents are reminded that there is still a province wide fire ban in effect.

As residents return to the area, you may see visible smoke, which is expected. However, if you see open flames, please call 911 immediately to report it.

Evacuation Order and Alert remain in place:

  • The evacuation order remains in effect for everyone north of Township Road 710 to 740, east of the British Columbia/ Alberta border to Range Road 132. The evacuation order is outlined in the red area of the attached map.
  • The evacuation alert remains in effect and is outlined in the yellow area of the attached map.

Residents in areas under an evacuation alert should be prepared to leave with 30 minutes’ notice
