Update #30: Evacuation Order Lifted, Evacuation Alert Zone Reduced 

Grande Prairie — Friday, June 13, 2025, 5:00 pm–  The County of Grande Prairie has lifted the evacuation order. Everyone north of Township Road 710 to 740, east of the British Columbia/ Alberta border to Range Road 132 can now return home. This area will remain on evacuation alert. 

Residents in the evacuation alert area should be prepared to leave with 30 minutes’ notice.

As residents return to the area, you may see visible smoke, which is expected. However, if you see open flames, please call 911 immediately to report it. 

Despite the rainfall, we remain in drought conditions, and residents are reminded that a province-wide fire ban is still in effect. 

Alberta Evacuee Resources 

  • As a safety precaution, ATCO temporarily shut off natural gas service to the area within and outside the evacuation zone. ATCO crews are in the area assisting with restoring service. If you need assistance, please call ATCO at 310-5678. 
  • GPREP Call Centre: Call 780-830-5002, 10:00 am to 7:00 p.m. 
  • Register livestock with the County’s Livestock Emergency Response Plan (LERP): Contact the GPREP Call Centre at 780-830-5002.
