An Evacuation Order is being issued for all of Hay River, NT due to the risk of a wildfire from the Kakisa-Enterprise area (SS052).  

Evacuees should travel to Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Evacuees heading to the reception centre in Grande Prairie should be directed to the Alliance Church, 15502 102 St, Grande Prairie, AB, T8X 0J6.

Due to improving conditions surrounding the British Columbia Bearhole Lake wildfire, GPREP is no longer activated.

B.C. Wildfire Services continues to manage the fire and will provide immediate notification to GPREP and the County of Grande Prairie should conditions change significantly. GPREP is ready for re-activation should conditions change or another emergency require support and coordination.

This will be the last update unless conditions change significantly and require GPREP to re-activate.

The County of Grande Prairie continues to actively monitor the Bearhole Lake wildfire near the community of Kelly Lake in British Columbia.
